An iPhone app for splitting the bill on group outings. Start a hangout, add expenses as they happen, and Splix works out a short list of who pays whom.

How it works

No accounts to create and no spreadsheet afterwards. A hangout goes from live to ended to settled.

  1. 01

    No sign-up

    Open the app, pick a name and a fox avatar, and you're in. A free “Secure your account” option with Apple keeps your hangouts if you change phones.

  2. 02

    Start a hangout

    A night out, dinner, party or trip. Invite friends with a link, a QR code or a six-letter code. Friends without the app can be added by name.

  3. 03

    Add expenses as you go

    Split each one equally, by exact amounts, by percent or by shares, or mark it as a treat. Snap receipts, and “Who pays?” spins to pick someone fairly.

  4. 04

    Settle up

    Splix works out a short list of who pays whom. Each person shows their GCash, Maya or bank QR codes. Payers upload a screenshot or say they paid in cash, and the person paid confirms it.

  5. 05

    Live, ended, settled

    The host ends the hangout to stop new expenses. It settles on its own once everyone's paid, and then comes the celebration and recap.

Splix Pro

₱299 once, no subscription, and only the host needs it. Adds a 150-photo album with downloads for everyone and six more story templates.

Under the hood

Expo (React Native) and Supabase. Works offline and syncs once there's signal, and the database's own rules decide who can see and change what.
