Cost and scope

What does a project cost?

Most MVPs land between $30k and $80k, depending on scope. You get a fixed-price proposal after the consultation, so there are no hourly surprises.

Why a fixed price instead of hourly billing?

So you know the full cost before we start. Scope and price are agreed after the free consultation, and there are no surprise invoices along the way.

Can we hire you for just design, or just development?

Yes. Each of our four services stands on its own, though most projects combine two or three.

Timeline and process

How soon can we launch?

A first usable release usually ships in 6–10 weeks, with working software from week two. Our average to first release is six weeks.

Can we see the app before you build it?

Yes. In weeks 1–2 we build a fully interactive prototype as a Claude artifact: a link you open in your browser, click through like the real app and share with your team. You approve it before any production code is written.

When do we see progress?

From week two. Working software goes to a staging environment you can open any time, and we demo it every Friday, so there's never a big reveal at the end.

What do you need from us?

Less than you'd think: one or two calls to start, a weekly design review, the Friday demos, a round of acceptance testing, and the go/no-go call before launch.

How do we stay in touch during the project?

A demo every Friday, and a shared Slack channel for everything in between.

Team and ownership

Who owns the code and design?

You do, fully. Repositories, cloud accounts and design files live in your accounts from day one, so you're never locked in.

Who will we actually work with?

Senior people only. Everyone on your project has shipped products before, and the people on your first call are the people who write your code.

Can you join our existing team or codebase?

Yes. About half our projects extend existing products. We audit the codebase first, then slot in where you need us.

Technology

Which technologies do you use?

React Native or Flutter for mobile, React and Node for the web, Figma and interactive Claude artifacts for design, and LLMs with RAG for AI features. We choose what fits your product and your team.

Does every product need AI?

No. We use AI across our own design, code and QA, and add it to your product only where it earns its place.

After launch

What happens after launch?

Every project includes 30 days of free fixes. After that, most clients keep a light monthly support plan; others hand off to their own team with our documentation.

Do you handle hosting and monitoring?

Yes. We deploy to production with monitoring in place from the first minute, and keep the products we maintain at 99.9% uptime. Everything runs in your own cloud accounts.

The free consultation

What happens on the free consultation?

A 30-minute video call with a senior engineer or designer. You leave with a rough scope and an honest estimate, whether or not we work together. About a third of these calls end with us recommending you don't build yet, and telling you why.

What should we prepare?

Whatever you have: a pitch deck, a sketch, or just the problem. Nothing is required.

What time zone are you in?

We're remote-first and work Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Eastern Time. The booking form also shows each time in your own zone.

Can we reschedule?

Yes. The confirmation email has a link to cancel the booking, and you can pick a new time on this site straight after.

Let's merge.
